Programs of Study

MCC offers over 40 Career and Technical Education programs, a University Transfer program, Workforce Development, and more! Our well-rounded curriculum caters to a wide array of students, from those seeking to complete the first two years of college coursework to those eager to gain job-ready skills or upgrade their existing capabilities.

Programs marked with an asterisk (*) can be completed in one year or less!

The Division of Emergency Services at MCC offers career pathways into Emergency Management and Communications, Emergency Medical Science Academy, and Fire Protection Technology.

The Division of Health Education offers nine different fields of study in the medical area. Upon completion of required courses, students receive a Certificate or an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree.

The Division of Industrial Technology covers a wide arena of career options designed to meet the educational needs of students who are seeking preparation for employment in occupational fields. These programs are housed in the MCC-Riley Workforce Development Center.

The Division of Nursing covers Associate Degree Nursing, Health Care Assistant, and Practical Nursing. These programs provides students with educational opportunities for personal and intellectual development and for a career to help meet the health care needs of the community.

MCC offers the University Transfer Program for students who plan to transfer to a four-year institution. The University Transfer Program is parallel to the courses taken by freshmen and sophomores at universities and senior colleges. Students who plan to continue their studies at a university should secure a catalog from that school so that their schedules can be formatted to parallel the senior institution’s curriculum.

The University Transfer Associate in Arts degree consists of a series of core courses and a selection of transferable courses based on the student’s desired major. Generally, one-half of the hours required for a bachelor’s degree may be transferred from a community college to apply to a degree at a senior institution.
