Job InformationDescription: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must be a student in good standing at an accredited college or university and must have completed the equivalent of forty-eight (48) undergraduate/graduate semester hours in courses directly related to Wildlife Biology, Fisheries Biology, Law Enforcement, Parks and Recreation, Support Services, and/or Museum studies. The applicant must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 and receive a favorable recommendation from a reference. 

CHARACTERISTICS OF WORK:  Interns may perform a variety of duties designed to provide skills and experience in one of the diverse career fields within the Agency. Work assignments are performed in a specific career field related to the student's major or minor course of study. Supervision is received from a bureau advisor who assigns projects, gives preliminary instructions, reviews work accomplishments, and correlates his/her supervisory work with the institution's internship facility advisor. Individuals will be expected to work either part-time or full-time for a period of limited duration. Set hours will be approved by the intern’s supervisor. 

COMPENSATION: Interns will receive a bi-weekly salary ranging from $14.00 - $15.00/hour for the length of the internship. Interns will not accrue personal and/or major medical leave, paid holidays, or participate in the state retirement system or group health plans. Students are encouraged to pursue college/university credit hours for participating in the internship; however, it is the student’s full responsibility to apply for credit hours through their school and to ensure that their requirements are fulfilled.
